Blog Writer

The Blog Writer is an AI tool that specializes in writing relevant blog articles for your shop. Quickly and easily generate blog drafts by using your most popular and newest collections as context, and ensure engaging content that informs and inspires your customers.

How does the Blog Writer work?​

Open the Blog Writer via your dashboard (you can use Ctrl/Cmd + K to quickly search for AI tools). You will immediately see the 'Blog generation settings' overview. Here you configure exactly what your new blog post should look like.

Fill in the settings, optionally add a targeted prompt, and choose which store data the AI should use.

Blog generation settings​

You have full control over the structure and content of your blog via the following settings:

  • Number of drafts: Choose how many different versions of the blog you want to generate at the same time in Draft mode (1, 2, or 3). Handy if you want to test multiple angles.
  • Blog post sections: Determine the length of your article by choosing the number of sections (subheadings), ranging from 1 to 8.
  • Paragraphs per section: Specify how deep the AI should dive into the topic per section (choose from 2, 3, or 4 paragraphs).
  • Target blog: Select the specific blog (page) where the draft should be placed. Click on 'Refresh blogs' if you have just created a new blog category.
  • Language: Determine the language of the generated content (choose from any available language in your store).
  • Blog image type: Have the AI instantly generate a matching header image. You have three options:
    • No image: Generates text only.
    • Generate branded image: The AI takes your specific brand colors and style into account.
    • Generate neutral brand image: Generates a general, neutral image without using your specific brand colors.

Please note: Image generation is only available in subscriptions from Growth onwards.

Extra guidance via Prompts and Data​

In addition to the standard settings, you can provide the Blog Writer with specific context:

Prompt (optional)​

Just like with the Product Writer, you can enter a specific instruction here. For example, indicate the main topic, the preferred tone of voice (informal, enthusiastic, professional), or which specific product should be highlighted.

Data to use​

This is the source of inspiration for the AI. Select one or more data sources from your shop to make the article relevant. The options are:

  • Popular products
  • Recent products
  • Recent categories
  • Recent brands
  • Homepage products
  • Homepage categories

Next, click on 'Generate and create drafts' at the bottom. The AI tool will immediately get to work, writing the blog articles based on your settings and data, and preparing them as drafts.
