Content Backup

The Content Backup tool ensures that your product and category data is safely preserved. Backups are automatically generated and can be downloaded as a CSV file. This is essential for restoring content after an unwanted (AI) modification or for data migration.

Settings and Limits

At the top of the page, you will find the current settings for your backups. These settings depend on your active subscription:

  • Backup frequency: Indicates how often a backup is automatically created, which may vary by subscription.
  • Retention period: Determines how long backups remain available in the system before being deleted (this may vary by subscription).
  • Manual backup: The option to manually start a backup yourself at any given time (this depends on your subscription).

Viewing and Downloading Backups

Below the settings, you will find a chronological list of all available backups that fall within your retention period.

Understanding the backup table

The table gives you an at-a-glance view of the details for each backup:

  • Date: The exact date and time the backup was completed.
  • Trigger: Indicates whether the task was started Automatically or manually.
  • Status: Shows the current state (for example, Completed).
  • Products & Categories: Displays the exact number of stored items at that moment, so you can be sure your full assortment is included.

Downloading and using a backup

  1. Find the correct date: Look through the list for the timestamp right before the unwanted changes occurred in your online store. If necessary, use the pagination at the bottom to look further back within your retention period.
  2. Download: In the rightmost column under Actions, click on 'Download'.
  3. Restore: You will receive a compressed CSV file. You can open this file in a spreadsheet program or use it directly in the import function of your e-commerce platform to restore your original texts and settings.
