Coming Soon
The password page (often called the 'Coming Soon' page) is the business card of your webshop while you are still building behind the scenes, or when you have temporarily closed the store to the public. It allows you to generate interest in advance, collect email addresses, and introduce your brand.
Content & Text
- Logo: Upload a specific logo for this landing page and determine the desired width in pixels. If you don't upload anything here, the theme automatically shows your default store logo (set in the general theme settings) or simply your store name.
- Heading: Write a catchy title, such as "We are opening soon!". You can adjust the HTML tag (H1 to H6), the visual size, and the font weight.
- Subtitle: Add an accompanying text to tell visitors what they can expect or when you are going live. Any password messages you set via the Shopify Admin are also automatically shown here.
- Alignment: Determine whether all content in the area should be left-aligned, centered, or right-aligned.
Interaction & Visitors
- Newsletter (Show email form): Check this to show a subscription form. This is the way to start building a customer list before you are live. You can customize the text on the button yourself (e.g., "Keep me updated").
- Password link (Show password link): Show a subtle link that allows you (or special customers with a password) to log in to view the protected store. You can change the text of this link to your liking.
- Social media sharing (Show social): Check this to show share buttons. This allows enthusiastic visitors to directly share your (upcoming) webshop with their network via platforms like Facebook, X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp.
Design & Background
To make this page look professional and attractive, you have extensive control over the layout:
- Color schemes: You can set two color schemes. One for the entire page (background) and one specifically for the 'card' (the frame) containing the text and the form.
- Background image: Upload a beautiful, full-page image to instantly set the right mood.
- Overlay transparency: Are you using a background image? Then add a dark transparent layer (overlay) in percentages. This ensures your text always remains perfectly readable, regardless of how light or busy the photo is.
- Transparent card (Card transparent): If you use a background image, it is sometimes nicer to make the colored area around your text (the 'card') invisible. By checking this, the background color of the card disappears, and the text floats seamlessly over your background photo.
